Residential
Beautiful vinyl fencing designs meet the needs of today's demanding lifestyles. Durable, yet virtually maintenance-free, vinyl fence adds value and aesthetic appeal to any property. Allegheny Fence offers many styles of PVC fencing, which are an environmentally friendly, maintenance free alternative to wood.
PVC tubular styles including private, semi-private, picket and post and rail fences. Railing and deck systems are also available. Most styles are available in white and tan. Some newer darker colors are also available in selected dtyles.
Crude oil, natural gas, and chloride are the raw materials used in the production of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin. Vinyl compound is formulated from raw materials that include PVC resin, UV inhibitors (TiO2), impact modifiers, stabilizers, and toners. The PVC components are modified to provide exceptional impact strength and ultraviolet resistance. As with most plastics, vinyl will become less flexible in colder weather conditions. These products are engineered to accommodate normal temperature swings and will not break unless subjected to unusual impact. High quality PVC fence extrusions can have solid or CO-extruded walls. The quality of the product includes the amount of UV inhibitors (TiO2), impact modifiers, stabilizers, and toners that our manufacturers include to provide you with the highest quality available. The use of recycled PVC is not recommended as impurities or lower grade vinyl can be imported into the product. Our manufacturers all use virgin polyvinyl components.
Although we represent many different manufacturers of PVC fencing we recommend, PolyVinyl Fence by Digger and Country Estates. Digger has some factory options for racking as well as gates reinforced with aluminum. Diggers privacy fencing has many options including it's designer series which includes a decorative aluminum framework with a PVC infill. Country Estates has many styles and optional extra heavy posts for high wind conditions. The quality and performance of our products is well worth the cost as your final product will look great and out perform most other manufacturers products. Both have a some lower cost options that sacrifice their higher quality products for a lower price, while still having a better quality product than at the local home stores.
Installation:
All posts should be set in concrete footers and fence posts generally require no additional support. It is recommended that gate posts include additional reinforcement. This is typically accomplished by inserting aluminum “C” or “I” beams into the post. For walls or solid concrete, a galvanized steel round fence post is installed first, with adapter brackets so that the PVC post can be slid over the assembly. The galvanized steel post can be set in a core drilled hole or a base plate welded to the base can be bolted to the concrete.
Gates built and manufactured at the factory provide the best quality. Manufacturers who provide kits typically lack the strength and durability of the factory gates.
The most important aspect of purchasing a PVC fence is to make sure that the style that you choose will “rack” or follow your ground properly. All styles work well on level ground. Some styles will not follow slopes and should not be considered if your ground is not level. Allegheny Fence can guide you through the process of choosing a style for your ground conditions.
PVC railings can complement your fence with many different stlyes available.
